Secretary's Report:  Approved -1st/2nd - Gunderson/Reinhart

Treasurer's Report:  Approved - 1st/2nd - Dotzler/Ardolf

Fireworks - went well, very exciting, we are receiving calls asking if we will be doing a presentation next year.  Perhaps an ad in The Newsleaders to let people know we are looking for donations for next years presentation.  Consensus is we should go ahead and get an ad together.

Dwtn Revitialization - Weyrens has received the marketing study.  It will be put it up on the webpage by the end of the week.

Riverbats - It was discovered that St. Cloud State University also has the Aug. 8 Night at the Riverbats.  We were promised 1st pitch and between inning games.  29 businesses have committed to blocks of 25 tickets.  We are shooting to sell 900 to 1000 tickets to help pay for the fireworks.  Davey is working with the Riverbats to solve the problem.  However, SCSU is expecting 600 people and the general admission only seats 800 so there is the potential for a large oversell.  In addition the new SCSU President is expected to throw out the first pitch and other activities are promised to SCSU.  Quite a conflict.  We'll update you by email.

Membership - 10 more businesses have renewed.  Many have promised verbally - but have not come through.  Please send in your renewal.

Business attraction and retention group - what can we do to attract businesses to our community?  What are we known for?  Can we feed into that?  How can we head in the right direction?  Weyrens - the city would like to help through marketing, chamber bucks, etc.  Reinhart - should we revamp Chamber Bucks?  McDonald - EDA did a survey and got a disappointing result.  He wants to be active and would like to chair a committee to try to have a business retention program.  What is our strength?  What are our weaknesses?  Davey - looking at the Chamber Bucks would be a good way to start.  How could we make them effective?  Bell - businesses need to train their employees to redeem the bucks like cash.  Committee is McDonald, Weyrens and Reinhart.

Announcements - Reinhart - we should keep those who have loved ones who are deployed in their thoughts and prayers.  Wensmann - thank you to everyone for their support.

Kay's Kitchen Sponsorship.

Adjournment:  1st/2nd - Gunderson/Dotzler
